Concrete pumps transport wet mixed concrete from the mixer to the pour location. The wet concrete from a mix truck is discharged into a hopper, where an agitator keeps it moving and flowing into the piston pump’s twin cylinders.
One cylinder pushes the concrete into the pipeline on the forward stroke, while the other cylinder draws concrete from the hopper on the return stroke. The pistons in both cylinders move in opposite directions to maintain consistent pressure and ensure a smooth, uninterrupted flow of concrete through the pipeline.
This continuous pumping action allows concrete to be placed quickly and accurately, even in hard-to-reach areas such as upper floors, basements, or areas with limited access. Line pumps and boom pumps are commonly used depending on the site layout and pour requirements.
Our pumps can pump concrete upto 150m horizontally and 50m vertically
We accept card Payment details at the time of booking . Easypump Concrete accommodates cancellations upto 24 hours before the initial booking with no charge, after this time a 5o% fee will be charged for late cancellation.

Typical Concrete Line Pump Procedure On-Site
1. Pump Arrival & Setup
○ The concrete pump will arrive on site.
○ The pump operator will liaise with the contractor or homeowner to determine the pour area and route for the pipeline.
○ It is strongly recommended that the customer provides:
■ Barriers to contain the pumping operation.
■ Protective covering (e.g., polythene sheeting or tarpaulin) to prevent damage/protect all finished surfaces against splashes/spills or leaks, including under the pump/mixer
■ Insurance against any and all liabilities that might be incurred, including, but not limited to, damage caused when the pump is being operated
2. Vehicle Movement
○ If concrete mixer trucks or pumps are directed off the public highway, this is done entirely at the customer’s or site’s own risk. We will not be held responsible for any damage to driveways, pavements, or underground services.
3. Pipeline Setup
○ The pump operator will lay out and connect the pipeline from the pump to the pour area.
○ Once the pipeline has been set up, the concrete can then be confirmed/called in.
4. Mixer Truck Positioning
○ The concrete mixer will arrive and back up to the pump.
5. Priming & Pumping
○ The pump operator will grout (prime) the line before concrete pumping begins.
○ Note: The customer is responsible for providing 1 bag of cement per 25 metres of pipeline used for grouting.
6. Pouring Concrete
○ Concrete will be pumped into the required area.
○ The site team (concreting gang) must move and position the pipeline as the pour progresses.
○ ⚠️ Caution: Concrete is pumped under high pressure. All personnel must be made aware of the associated risks, especially when handling the end hose.
7. Mixer Clean Down
○ After the truck has discharged its load:
■ The mixer chutes will be washed down.
■ Chutes must not be washed into the pump hopper, as this may cause blockages or compromise concrete quality. 8. Subsequent Mixers (if needed)
○ Additional mixers will back onto the pump and discharge their loads as required.
9. End of Pour & Cleanup
○ Once pumping is complete, the operator will clean the pump and pipeline.
○ All leftover concrete must be safely disposed of on-site.
○ The customer is responsible for providing suitable washout facilities for the pump.
